Ah so the game begins for the first in a line of many card review's has begun. This first one is what some people have said is a staple and other have just said is just another good card. While it is true that this card alone has many combos with it and many more to come, it would be a lie to say that this card is a staple for every deck. I know that some of you reading this are quite outraged to here me say this is not a staple but sadly i speak the truth. Let me give you a few reason why this is not a staple. First off, by defination a staple is something that can fit in every persons deck and this card doesn't fit that requirment. First deck type this doesnt fit in is, Dark Necrofear Decks. Why doesnt this fit in there, because it is not a Fiend and the purpose of having a Dark Necrofear Deck is to have as many fiends as you can in your graveyard so you can bring out that baby as quick as possible. If you drew a Sinister Serpent instead of a La Jinn or Opticlops then that means that you are one more turn short of getting out that Dark Necrofear. Another Deck it doesnt really fit with is Exodia. There is not really combo with Sinister Serpent that will help you to draw cards faster. Grant it could give Exodia Deck a stall monster for a turn but there are better stall monster for Exodia. Now that all the negative points of Sinster Serpent are out of the way lets talk about the positive points. It's probably got the most combos then any other monster in the game. Current combos with it are Spirt Settling Machine and Sinster Serpent, Tribute to the Doomed and Sinister Serpent, The Dark Door and Sinister Serpent, etc.. The list really does go on and on and on from there. Truly this card really is versatile and there is a reason it is restricted to one. Right now as the game is the combos with this card are small and not as deadly but look out for this card the combos will get fiercer and even more deadly as the game goes on.

In my book Sinister Serpent get a 4.5/5 it works in alot of decks but not all and is a great card to figure out combos for, if you have one give it a try in your deck. It may come in handy.
